Introducing the ImagineeringDisney.com Gallery

The time has come to present our Imagineering Disney High Resolution Image Gallery.

The gallery will grow each week as we dig up images from our basements and attics.  All images posted will be high quality, high resolution, and will contain interesting content.  You can expect great vintage photographs from great time periods in Disney parks' past.

To kick off the new gallery we share photos sent in by fan of the blog, Pete from Sydney, Australia.  Pete repetedly made our day by sending 3-5 scanned slides per day from his Disneyland GAF Pana-Vue® souvenir slide set purchased in 1973.  Thanks again, Pete!

Slide photos by Pete. Notice the redish tint on the slides as they deteriorate over time.

I love the colors of the old photos. A little desaturated and oh so pleasant to look at.

These are from when Disneyland was so classy.

PS I love the different colored Matterhorn Bobsleds. Very nice against the white snow capped mountain.

You know our style and I know you have a million retro WDW gems hidden away. Send us anything you think the gallery would need. As for the rest of you, send us unique nostalgic photos and we just might post them... especially interesting ones you or your family took yourselves!

Check out the two photos in the gallery of the Brontosauruses (Disneyland Primeval World and EPCOT Center Universe of Energy). I always thought they were more alike but Disneyland's dinos are more cartoony and happy-looking whereas Epcot's look more real-like.

Just an observation.

In the words of Ricky Ricardo, "What happened?" The link is no longer active? Say it ain't so.
