I think iv'e been to Disneyland 5 times as a child under 13, liked it or not! Started in the early 60's or maybe even late 50's. I was SICK of Disneyland! lol!! No really it was fun at first.. ;))))
I haven't gone to Disneyworld in Florida only Disneyland in California but what happened to river country looks like they just gave up kinda sad maybe they are set to rebuild it or already have....I find it sad that they spend tons of money building an area only to let it fall through the cracks or realize it is way to expensive to do the upkeep!!! so sad!!
One of the reasons River Country had to be shut down as it was a freshwater swimming hole connected directly to the lake. Later regulations for "safe" chlorinated water would have required major changes. It also had limited capacity and Walt Disney World now has Blizzard Beach and Typhoon lagoon
